Logotel at the Upgrade Mobile Summit: experiences and impacts
On 9 november Cristina Favini, Strategist & Manager of Design Logotel, spoke at the event dedicated to mobile-linked evolution
The Upgrade Mobile Summit, returned to Milan for its second edition, bringing together managers and experts for a conference aiming to explore the Italian mobile industry.
This year the event, which took place on 9 November 2017 at the Pirelli Tower, specifically addressed the issue of "THE NEW DIGITAL DARWINISM".
In a fluid world where the new consumer is mobile, hyper-connected and selective, it is crucial for companies to capture them. Only brands capable of adapting to current developments and the new market rules, will survive.
Logotel also attended the conference. Following her speech at the last edition, Cristina Favini Strategist, Manager of Design & Partner Logotel, this time spoke on "Mobile Payments: impacts and experiences", focussing attention on how, in this changing context, payment models are also evolving and that we need to rethink design models.
Today the access to, purchase and use of products and services are the result of a transformation and remodulation of the space and time of experience.
Indeed, people are searching the market for new opportunities for experience, moments, and events. We are talking about People Experience: time, mental effort and resources will be increasingly invested in the enjoyment of positive experiences.
Consequently, the space and time of engagement between supply and demand have changed. The needs and desires of people now have a decisive impact upon the design of the offer, which must be rethought in terms of time and methods.
Payment is a meeting point between supply and demand.
Starting from necessities to more complex reasons the contact points are malleable. The service is a dynamic system that changes state and form: the whole service needs to adapt, because the perspective is the uniqueness of people.
The evolution of payment models also gives us an interesting idea in terms of design: it could be an opportunity to anchor the new payment methods not only to new devices or behaviours, but also to the new richness of the offer.
We need to rethink service design models, but also to design ways to bring on board customers and staff. Brands need to offer prospects, opportunities and support. Design has a crucial appointment with the Customer.
