MAKING TOGETHER EXHIBITION-EVENT FOR DESIGN WEEK 2012
Making together takes a look at one of the most topical themes of the moment: the relationship between design and participation.
Are there new tools, approaches, processes and creative sharing methods in the design field? What are the possible design scenarios generated by a Network culture that has created new keywords such as connection, community, crowdsourcing?
What happens when user "X" is invited to participate in the conceptualisation or realisation of a project?
The focus of the exhibition is on Tuft, a new macro-installation to “inhabit” designed by revelations the Numen / For Use collective, who seek to explore the concept of the physical relationship between space and the public as a potential generator of meetings and relations.
Alongside Tuft, Making Together will activate a sequence of “works in progress” curated by six Italian and international designers and collectives, tasked with exploring the theme of “making together”.
The site-specific performances will take a multidisciplinary approach with an “open worksite” formula.
Experimentation laboratories and, at the same time, thought factories, the Making Together Labs seek to actively involve the spectator, who is invited to share in the “design” experience in first person.
