DESIGN WEEK 2014: LOGOTEL PRESENTS "TIMESCAPES"
Timescapes is an exploration of the time factor, among a multitude of case histories that can be used to connect different design perspectives.
Just like the other physical dimensions, time can be measured.
But what happens when these metrics impact on design approaches?
Having explored the themes of collaboration (Making Together, 2012) and the invisible ((In)visible Design, 2013) at the last two editions of Milano Design Week, Logotel presents the exhibition-event “Timescapes”.
Parallel worlds, multiple connections, different designs: Timescapes is an exploration of the time factor, among a multitude of case histories that can be used to connect different design perspectives. A reflection on time, therefore, as a metaphor for the start of every story. Condition for the memory. Vision of the future. Key factor in every design sense-making process.
The backdrop to the event is “Mécaniques Discursives”, a site-specific multimedia installation, the first of its kind to be seen in Italy, designed by artists Fred Penelle and Yannick Jacquet. This work is joined by a selection of cases, stories and projects from the most diverse areas (science, technology, art, literature, cinema, music etc.) which can be explored by visitors using interactive digital tables.
