Weconomy

How do we put people and communities back at the centre in an era dominated by individualism? Over 17 years of uninterrupted publications, Weconomy has explored this conviction, nurturing an international, multidisciplinary network of more than 300 managers, entrepreneurs, designers and researchers.

Our independent research platform on the collaborative economy. Opening up questions and exploring frontiers through an open, multidisciplinary approach.

THE PROJECT

A hybrid ecosystem: website, print publications and events to share perspectives and frontier topics.

We live in an era where organisations can no longer think of themselves as closed systems. They face six generations of people, territories, ecosystems, communities, and forms of intelligence that are redefining the way we work, create value and make decisions.

In the face of this complexity, Weconomy explores the intersections between economics, business, design and collaboration – placing the impact on people and communities at the centre, and opening the field beyond disciplinary and organisational boundaries.

The research platform was born in 2009 from Cristina Favini’s pioneering idea of exploring and promoting an alternative vision of the economy – one that must always start from Us, grounded in collaboration and openness.

FORMATS AND CONTENT

A challenge we’ve been taking on for 17 years: turning research into concrete projects.

Through publications, purpose-designed events and a dedicated website, Weconomy offers original content and perspectives across five topics: Design and Innovation, Envision, Future of Work, Leadership and Organization, People and Collaboration.

Weconomy’s challenge lies in translating frontier topics into concrete, actionable projects – drawing on Logotel’s expertise and its daily engagement with the challenges of organisational transformation. All content is published under a Creative Commons licence, because we believe knowledge creates a positive impact when it is shared.

In 2019 the Weconomy project was selected for the ADI Design Index among the best Italian research projects.
